It has been a matter of great debate as to whether or not Brother Pat Lacy of the Order of Saint Benedict ever actually played in a game for the college ice hockey team.  That he drove the van to practice and actually got on the ice, even if in street shoes, is a documented fact by photographic evidence. But whether or not he was the first Benedictine Ice Hockey Star is something that is left for history to decide!  Nonetheless, it’s in the record book…..one game played!
