Career Highlights:

Konfala, John

C’81

No one would ever question John’s love of the game or his dedication to the team at St. Vincent.  He started his Freshman year as a forward, but converted into a goaltender to provide much needed depth for the team and actually became one of the better skating goalies in the league at that time.  He became Co-Director of the team his Junior year along with classmate John Trovato.  Nicknamed “Parma” for the Parma, Ohio Hockey Jacket he used to wear on campus, he was a great locker room presence.  He was voted the team’s Most Improved Player in 1978-1979.  His best game occurred during his senior season when he defeated CMU 5-3 in a key league game that clinched a playoff spot that year for the Polar Bearcats.  John has been an avid supporter of the team, has played in numerous alumni contests, and has stayed active in adult leagues in the Cleveland area since graduating.  He is now a Tax Attorney.
