Komlos, Ben C 04 |
An outstanding offensive threat, Ben had a deceptively vicious shot that took many opposing goalies by surprise. He transferred in from WVU after a great career at Greensburg Central Catholic and solidified SVC as an emerging powerhouse in College Hockey East. Lead the team in game winning goals during the 2002-2003 campaign. The previous year he narrowly missed putting SVC into the CHE finals against Slippery Rock. Always a character on the bench and in the locker room, Ben always kept the team loose and in his own way demonstrated his unique brand of leadership. He was always a threat to score and gave the team tremendous depth at forward making it difficult for other teams to concentrate their checking lines on only one unit. His 28.4% shooting percentage in the 2002-2003 campaigns is one of the teams all time highest marks for players getting more than 50 shots in a season. |
