Kadlubek, Vince C’69 |
Vince is the only player in team history to participate in each of the team’s first 5 seasons. Known locally as an excellent figure skater who learned on St. Vincent lake, he made the conversion to hockey skates and became a stalwart on the blue line. Vince actually graduated the year before the team started, but more than made up for it by being one of the most famous alumni players in the history of the college. Vince’s playing highlights include scoring 4 goals in one game against IUP in the 70-71 campaign. After he finished his playing days at SVC, Vince kept on skating for several years at Westmoreland County Community College along with Bob Farrell and played against SVC on more than one occasion. Vince was an assistant Coach under Al Reinshagen for two seasons and again answered the call with the resurrection of the team in 1999-2000 by taking over responsibility for the defense, a position which he continues to hold. Vince and his wife, Pat, traveled to Arizona with the team that played for the ACHA D III National Title in 2003-2004. Pat has become known for her stellar end of season photo galleries she has provided to players. |
