Career Highlights:

Holowaty, Tim

C’03

Tim was one of the most skilled players on the team during his four seasons of play.  He had great hands, a sweeping wrist shot, and a good slap shot.  His ability to stickhandle and move the puck across his body gave him a great advantage when coming into the attacking zone.  Not only did he possess fine offensive skills, he was one of the best neutral zone defensive forwards to play on the team.  He used his long reach and ability to read opposing players to often trap attackers in the center ice area and help the D turn the play into a Polar Bearcat counter attack.  Tim scored a game-winning goal against Slippery Rock in 2000-2001 and was often a key member of penalty killing units.  His dedication to the program earned him an Assistant Captains “A” during his senior year.  He also received the Andy Vahaly Memorial Award his junior year for the most team spirit and off ice leadership.  Not only talented on the ice, Tim was an outstanding student and did a significant amount of work in building the hockey web page.
