One of the many former Greensburg Central Catholic players who came to Saint Vincent and played ice hockey, Matt saw significant ice time during the team’s first two years in its second phase of existence.  As an experienced player, he provided the depth needed to establish credibility for the early team as it began intercollegiate competition.  He even volunteered to play goal when the team was potentially short of net minders although he never needed to strap on the pads in a game.
