Charlie was one of the many talented players who were part of the class of 1982.  His defense utilized very effective stick checking techniques including outstanding poke and sweep checks.  Combined with smart positional play and a good low shot, he was part of the strong blue line group that helped the team capture the 1978-1979 WPIHA Division II Title.  He often teamed with classmate Rick Doerr.  Years later Charlie resurrected his career in a men’s league with ex Polar Bearcats Mike Ziemianski and Pete Gueverra.
