DiNardo, Nick C’00
|
When the call went out to field the “second first” team in the history of St. Vincent College Ice Hockey, Nick answered with inspired play. After not having been on skates in a competitive league for more than three years following his career at Greensburg Central Catholic High School, his “locker room presence” and “controlled intensity” on the ice were key ingredients of the team’s first two seasons. He was an aggressive blue liner who never backed down from an opponent. His toughness was demonstrated by an aggressive rehab in the 1999-2000 season that had him back on the ice after a knee injury during the first half of the season. As a December graduate, he actually played for the first half of the 2000-2001 campaign. In a fitting tribute, he had an outstanding final game and played a critical role in a 4-3 downing of Slippery Rock. |
