Although he had not played for several years, Mike quickly became one of the team’s best defenseman in its “Second First Season”.  He moved the puck extremely well, played a smart positional blue line spot, and regained what was one of the team’s hardest point shots towards the end of the season.  It was his experience and ability that helped build a successful winning team in the 1999-2000 campaign.
